Family Day: Filling the Paige

Discover how artists create their work in unexpected ways. For example, Robert Earl Paige, whose work is currently on view at the Smart Museum in Robert Earl Paige: Give the Drummer Some!, uses wax resist and ink to create bold patterns; Barabara Jones-Hogu uses printmaking techniques to explore colorful text in their work; while Gerald Williams creates similar effects using paint and paper. Participants are invited to experiment with pattern, printing, and repetition using each of these unique art making techniques. Drop in; all families and kids of all ages are welcome.
